A large collection of films from classic movies and records
This is a specialized facility for film and music, collecting and preserving a large number of classic Japanese films, videos, and records.
The screening hall (100 seats) hosts screenings of Japanese and cultural films from its collection, as well as screenings of foreign films and lectures.
In addition, various events related to film and music are held, including lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and children's film screenings.
Audiovisual materials such as records, videos, and cassettes from the Film and Music Library's collection, and CDs and DVDs from the adjacent Central Library's collection, can be viewed in the Central Library's viewing area.
*The Hiroshima City Film and Music Library relocated and reopened on April 1, 2026, on the 10th floor of Yell Yell HIROSHIMA in front of Hiroshima Station.
