A large collection of films from classic movies and records
This specialized film and music museum collects and preserves a large number of classic Japanese films, including reels and videos, and classic records.
The 169-seat auditorium regularly hosts screenings of Japanese and cultural films from its collection, as well as foreign film screenings and lectures.
In the video and audio corners, audiovisual materials such as videos, DVDs, and records can be viewed in individual booths.
In addition, the library hosts a variety of film and music-related events, including lectures and exhibitions on film and music, and children's film screenings.
Note: The Hiroshima City Film Culture Library will be closed from October 1, 2025, in preparation for relocation.
The new facility is scheduled to open in Ale Ale Building A at the beginning of 2026.
