Communicating the hometown of Iwaki to the present day
The Miura family mansion, which served as Shima Honjin for the Iyo Matsuyama Domain during the Edo Period, has been partially restored and opened as a museum. Built by the Miura family, wealthy merchants who prospered through salt field development and shipping, the building still retains its appearance as Shima Honjin, which welcomed the lord of Matsuyama. In the reference room, materials on Wakayama Bokusui and Yoshii Isamu, who had connections with the 18th head of the Miura family, are on display, allowing visitors to recall what life was like back then.
