A Japanese garden created by Aso Ito, a female master in men's clothing
Sanshūen Garden, located at the foot of Mt. Tateishi, is a Japanese garden that was built by Aso Ito, the cross-dressing heroine who was the model for Ima Toko's novel "Akumyo," and was open to the islanders. A huge stone called a menhir, which stands 7 meters tall in the center of the garden, is considered to be part of the megalithic culture of the Yayoi period as a result of academic research, and is designated as a tangible cultural property of Kamijima Town. The mysterious sight of the huge stone standing in the middle of a lush Japanese garden is a mystical and impressive sight that will impress anyone, even if they were not an ancient person.
