Matsubara beach

This beautiful beach is the only one in Ehime Prefecture to be selected as one of the "100 Best Swimming Beaches" by the Ministry of the Environment. It forms an arch around the narrow end of the gourd-shaped Yuge Island, and with its clear water and gentle waves, it is bustling with people during the swimming season. There is also playground equipment, so it can be enjoyed by families and groups. Gazing out at the expansive blue sea with the lush greenery behind you, you can spend a tranquil time here, feeling like you are not in Japan.
