Hoogahara

Matsubara Beach, with its beautifully arched sandy beach and the surrounding area that includes about 500 pine trees, is the only place in Ehime Prefecture to be selected as one of the "100 Best Swimming Beaches" and is a prefecturally designated scenic spot. The pine grove is lined with 300-year-old pine trees, and the view of the fine sandy coastline, clear blue skies, and the original Japanese landscape of white sand and green pines still remains to this day. Matsubara is equipped with facilities such as a kitchen and toilets, and can also be used as a campsite, so it is visited by many people throughout the year, along with the summer swimming.
