Opened in 1938, an unmanned station that still exists at that time

Bingo-Yano Station on the JR Fukuen Line is an unmanned station located in the mountains of the Bingo region. The station building remains as it was when it opened in 1938. You can eat and drink udon, soba, and other noodles inside the station. The specialty "Fukuen-sen Udon and Soba" is characterized by three kinds of circular (en) mochi rice cakes overlapping each other, as if they were connecting connections. For an additional fee, you can get a Fukuen-sen amulet with Fukuen-sen Udon and Soba. Other dishes include beef udon and soba made with locally produced beef. Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, is enshrined on the platform, and visitors write their wishes on strips of paper and tie them on them. The station is also popular as a cycling and touring spot.
