Hackberry, Muku, Kuroganemochi, etc. (Peace Boulevard) (A-bombed trees)

Trees that survive the atomic bombing and still survive in what was once the grounds of Kokutaiji Temple

Kokutaiji Temple used to be located on Heiwa Boulevard in front of Shirakami Shrine, 530 meters from the hypocenter. The Chinese hackberry, Zelkova, and Japanese silverleaf trees that were planted around Atago Pond in the temple grounds at the time survived the bombing and have continued to grow large.
