Three Kuroganemochi trees that survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima Castle

After the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War in 1894 (Meiji 27), when the Imperial Headquarters was located inside Hiroshima Castle, these Kuroganemochi trees were planted in the garden in front of the Imperial Headquarters. The trees were 910 meters from the hypocenter when the bomb hit, but three survived the atomic bomb and have now grown into large trees measuring 10 meters, 6 meters, and 8 meters in height, respectively.
