A stone carved from the highest mountain in England inscribed with wishes for goodwill, harmony and world peace.
The stone was cut from Ben Nevis (1,346 meters), the highest mountain in the United Kingdom, and a wish for international peace is engraved on the monument. Two stone plaques are set into seven granite stones from Hiroshima that form the Hiroshima delta, and the following is inscribed in English: "The young people of Fort William and Dutley, who have been bound by a long-standing friendship, present this stone to the young people of Hiroshima as a symbol of goodwill, harmony, and world peace. This stone was specially cut from Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom."
