Members of the General Insurance Association of Japan pray for the souls of the atomic bomb victims and for peace.
Date of construction: August 3, 1965. It was erected to commemorate the 89 victims of the atomic bombing of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Hiroshima Branch and other member companies of the General Insurance Association of Japan, and to pray for the foundation of peace. The four crosses on top of the column represent a human figure, and the number "four" represents the whole world. The four human figures represent the connection of love and conscience among people all over the world who desire peace.
