The Enduring Peace Monument erected jointly by the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Lions Clubs

This monument was erected as a result of discussions to erect similar "peace monuments" in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities. On the left and right sides of the stone tablet are inscriptions in both English and Japanese that say, ``This monument is erected by the clubs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, sister cities with experiences of the atomic bombing, as a symbol of lasting peace for all humankind.''
