A monument commemorating the people of Hiroshima Gas who were victims of the atomic bomb along with the brick company building.
Date of construction: August 2, 1967 (Showa 42) Made of black mikage stone, it is about 2 meters high and 1 meter in diameter, and five gas lamps with yellow flames burning on a cylindrical base. The Hiroshima Gas building was an imposing building made of reinforced concrete and brick, with three floors above ground and one below. Located about 250 meters from the hypocenter, it was hit by the intense blast pressure and was completely destroyed in one blow, leaving only a portion of the southwest corner.
