Founded about 950 years ago, it is crowded with many pilgrims during the Hatsutora Festival.

To be precise, it is called Shingon sect Gongenzan Bishamon-do and was founded about 950 years ago during the Fujiwara period. A statue of Bishamonten, said to have been made by Gyoki Bosatsu, was enshrined here and was revered by the surrounding samurai at the time. Nowadays, it is worshipped as the god of prosperous business and safety in the home, and every year on the first day of the year of the tiger in the lunar calendar and the night before, it is crowded with many worshippers for the "Hatsutora Festival."
