An important cultural property of Hiroshima City that survived two major fires from the Keicho era has been handed down.

Sennenji Temple was established in 1603 when seven temples in Tomomura were consolidated into one, and suffered major damage from fires in 1602 and 1870. Sennenji Temple is home to a wooden half-seated statue of Amida Nyorai (not open to the public), an important tangible cultural property of Hiroshima City, which survived these fires.
