Kusatsu Hachiman Shrine

Since ancient times, it has been worshipped by local people as the chief deity of the western region, which stretches from Iguchi in the west to Takasu, Kogo, and Yamada in the east, with the Yawata River as the border. For this reason, it is loved as the "main shrine" of each town's tutelary shrine and shrine, and as the "original shrine" due to its long history. The main deity, Hachiman, is highly regarded for his divine virtues of good luck, good fortune, and protection from misfortune, and is worshiped as a war god and god of victory, as well as "Hachiman of protection from misfortune" and "Hachiman of recovery from illness and victory." In addition, since the Three Munakata Goddesses are also enshrined here, it is characterized by the fact that many people visit to pray for safe childbirth (belly bands).
