A full-fledged sculpture is applied to the petite figure, which measures less than 40cm including the pedestal.
This statue of Amida Buddha with one leg crossed is said to have been made between the late Muromachi and Momoyama periods and is enshrined at Sennenji Temple. It is made of inlaid wood and is 33cm tall from the tip of the left foot, with the base being 13cm high, making it a small statue just under 40cm including the base. The pleats in the robes, the petals on the base, and the patterns on the base are all fully carved. It was designated an Important Tangible Cultural Property of Hiroshima City on September 22, 1975.
