Enshrines Ino Butayū, known for Ino no Kairoku.

Inou Shrine is said to have been founded in 1619. It is worshipped as the Inou Shrine of prosperity in business. In the 18th year of the Kyoho era, only the shrine and the house of the carpenter, Chushichi, were spared from burning in a major fire around the shrine, so it is also said to be a guardian deity against fires. Later, after Inou Takedayu, known for "Inou Jitsuroku Monogatari" and "Inubuki Kairoku," was enshrined as the shrine's deity, Takedayu's personality and the good luck of the "mallet of warding off evil" made it the shrine's guardian deity for warding off evil, warding off misfortune, and good fortune (not losing). Enshrined deities: Toyouke no Okami (Toyouke no Ookami): prosperity in business, bountiful grains Okuninushi no Okami (Ookuninushi no Ookami): matchmaking, safety of the home, health, healing Inou Budayu Koureijin (Inou Budayu Koureijin): expulsion of disasters, warding off misfortune, good luck, bringing good fortune
