Regenerating the satoyama through interaction between participants and local residents

Satoyama Art Village is located in the naturally rich Ato Town, Aki Ward, Hiroshima City, and aims to help restore Satoyama and develop the Ato community by providing opportunities for local residents and participants to interact and experience farm work and forestation. Since April 2001, Satoyama Art Village has been planned and managed by the Satoyama Art Village Management Council, which brings together local residents, participants, and the government. Through everyone's discussions, we are realizing our dreams one after another. Come and work up a sweat with us at Satoyama Art Village. We are always looking for new members.

From the Hiroden Bus Kumano Office...take the bus bound for "Ado School". Get off at the "Nagatojihashi" bus stop (ride time is less than 30 minutes, there is a bus about once every 1 to 2 hours). Turn right at the sign toward Hachihonmatsu. About 45 minutes walk. From JR Seno Station...about 20 minutes by taxi (about 14km, fare about 3,000 yen). Please use from the National Route 2 side (south exit). Alternatively, from Seno Station (south exit), take the Geiyo bus bound for Ado. Get off at the "Nagatojibashi" bus stop (required ride time is about 25 minutes). Turn right at the sign toward Hachihonmatsu. About 45 minutes walk. Please note that the number of buses from Seno Station is small (about 5 on Saturdays and Sundays).
