The factory was completely destroyed and burnt down due to the atomic bombing, and some of the burned-out warehouses still remain.
In 1940 (Showa 15), Hisanaga Kinshi Oshi Kosho Factory, which manufactured gold paper for temples and folding screens, expanded its steel-framed factory with a small five-story tower. Firefighters were stationed on this fifth floor and it was used as a fire lookout tower. On August 6, 1945, the factory was hit 2.20 kilometers from the hypocenter and was completely destroyed and burned down. Many of the employees who were on their way to work were injured. In 1951 (Showa 26), the factory was rebuilt using a surviving reinforced concrete warehouse for hazardous materials. Part of the surviving warehouse is still in use today, and part of the cornerstone of the completely burned building is preserved in front of the newly constructed company building.
