This is a library where you can enjoy manga while tracing its history. Manga and related materials are systematically collected, organized, and stored, with a total of approximately 155,000 volumes. Representative manga and manga magazines, as well as a wealth of materials for manga research, are available for viewing and loan. In addition to providing various materials, the library also holds events such as exhibitions and lectures with the aim of developing manga culture. Since 1998, it has been holding the "Omoshiro Sono Tonen Manga Taisho" contest, which is a forum for the presentation of works by professionals, amateurs, and people of all ages. The area around the library is famous for its cherry blossoms.
