Two camphor trees, 8m and 7.5m tall, located on the northeast side of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are trees that were exposed to the atomic bomb in the courtyard of the Hiroshima Post and Telecommunications Bureau, 1,300m from the hypocenter. They were transplanted to their current location in 1973. The "Aorigi II" seedlings that sprouted from the original camphor trees have spread all over the world as messengers of peace and are being cultivated all over the world.
