A festival that heralds the arrival of summer in Hiroshima
This festival is dedicated to Touka Daimyojin, which is enshrined as the guardian deity of Enryuji Temple, which was built in 1619 by Hiroshima feudal lord Asano Nagaaki. It is a historical early summer festival that has continued for over 400 years, and since the shrine of Inari Daimyojin is unveiled for the three days of the grand festival, it has been gaining faith since the Edo period as a special day to receive the divine power of Daimyojin, which is based on the Dakini heaven. Masu. In addition, the Tokasan Festival, which is counted as one of Hiroshima's three major festivals along with the Koshi Festival and the Sumiyoshi Shrine Summer Festival, is also known as the ``Yukata Festival,'' and many worshipers wear yukata. Because it is held during festivals, it is loved by the local community as a traditional culture unique to Hiroshima, which is one of the earliest in the country.
