A secluded hot spring town said to be the place where Hitomaro ended!
Yudaki Onsen is a secluded hot spring town where time seems to stand still. There used to be several hot spring inns in Yudaki Onsen, but now there is only one long-established inn that has been in business since the Taisho era. Yudaki Onsen contains a lot of metasilicic acid, which is said to have a high moisturizing effect, and is also good for skin. The only inn here, Nakamura Ryokan, has a bathtub with hot spring deposits piled up like a thousand plates, making it a work of natural art. From nearby Kamoyama Park, you can see Kamoyama, which the poet Saito Mokichi said was the place where Kakinomoto no Hitomaro died.
