Hiroshima Prefectural Employment Security Administration Atomic Bomb Martyrs Memorial Monument

Behind the monument is a memorial plaque listing the names of the 41 victims.

[Date of erection] August 6, 1995 [Erected by] Former Hiroshima Prefectural Employment Security Administration personnel and volunteer employees [History] Employees of the Hiroshima National Labor Mobilization Office were mobilized for building evacuation work and lost their lives here (Zakoba-cho, now Kokutaiji-cho 1-chome, 1.2 km from the hypocenter). Behind the monument is a memorial stone inscribed with the names of the 41 victims. This area is where many female students who were mobilized for building evacuation work, like the station employees, lost their lives, and a memorial monument to them (Monument to Martyrs' Students (Naka Ward)) was erected across the road.
