Every year on August 6th, a lantern-raising ceremony is held in the river in front of the building to commemorate the dead.
[Date of erection] August 5, 1968 [Erected by] Volunteers from the Kojin school district [History] In 1968, when the area in front of the station was redeveloped and a green belt was created, the neighborhood association erected a monument to commemorate those who died in the area, including those who were working to demolish buildings in the city center and lost their lives. Every year on August 6, a lantern float is held in the river in front of the station to commemorate those who died.
