Monument to commemorate the deaf who died in the atomic bombing

[Date of erection] August 3, 2003 [Established by] Alumni Association of Hiroshima Prefectural Hiroshima School for the Deaf [History] Hiroshima Prefectural School for the Deaf was located 2.7 km from the hypocenter, and 16 people died in the atomic bombing. The monument was erected primarily by the "Community for the Deaf Who Died in the Atomic Bomb."
