Next to the monument is a memorial stone on which the names of 84 people who died in the atomic bombing and 92 people who died in the war are inscribed.
[Date of construction] August 6, 1981 [Constructor] Okawa Cultural Properties Preservation Society [History] The Okawa area sustained relatively little damage, but there were residents who were in the city center at the time who were killed. As the movement to testify about the atomic bombing gained momentum, there was a growing momentum to identify the victims in the area, and the monument was erected. Next to the monument is a memorial monument, on which the names of 84 people who died in the atomic bombing (79 who died immediately after the bombing and 5 who died within 3 years) and 92 people who died in the war are inscribed.
