[Date of construction] August 6, 1957 (Showa 32) [Constructor] Ishida Gakuen Sanyo Junior and Senior High School [History] Approximately 410 first-year students from Sanyo Junior High School were deployed to Zakoba-cho (now Kokutaiji-cho 1-chome, 1.2 km from the hypocenter) and Tenjin-cho (now Nakajima-cho, 400 meters from the hypocenter) to help with building evacuation, and most of them became victims.
