The tower was completed over a period of about 30 years with donations from many people in order to build a pagoda to commemorate the victims of the atomic bombing who are connected to the three former villages of Midori, Yagi, and Kawauchi in the Sato district.
[Date of Construction] January 29, 1984 [Constructor] Bishamonten Temple Representatives Atomic Bomb Victims Memorial Pagoda Construction Committee [History] The tower was completed over a period of about 30 years with donations from many people to build a memorial pagoda for the victims of the atomic bombing associated with the three former villages of Sato district, Midorii, Yagi, and Kawauchi. The monument is on the first floor of the tower. Inside are the death registers of 27 victims from the local Midorii district and 106 representatives of the deceased from each household, and on the wall behind it is engraved the words "If you wish for it, flowers will bloom." A memorial event is held every April.
