After the war, the memorial monument that was at the Yaguchi crematorium was moved to its current location and rebuilt as a memorial to the atomic bombing.
[Date of construction] Unknown [Constructor] Maeda Genichiro [History] The Kuchida district was far from the hypocenter, so there were no casualties, but the blast damaged the roofs and fixtures of buildings. After the bombing, many victims fled from the city center, and about 380 people were accommodated at Kuchida National School (now Kuchida Elementary School) and the Kuchida Village Agricultural Association (now JA Hiroshima). Of these, about 70 people were killed and were cremated on the riverbank or buried in the forest. After the war, the memorial monument that had been at the Yaguchi crematorium was moved to its current location and rebuilt as the A-bomb Memorial.
