It was privately erected to commemorate the victims, residents of the Nakahiro district.
[Date of erection] August 6, 1977 [Erecter] Masayo Masuda [History] This was erected by a private individual to commemorate the victims of the Nakahiro district townspeople. The erector lost her husband in the atomic bombing and her child in the war. Next to the monument is the gravestone of the erector's family, and on the base is inscribed, "I live with my hands together, remembering the memories of my husband and child who were sacrificed in the war."
