It gives us a glimpse into what Hiroshima was like at the time, when military horses played a central role.
Among the remains of the facilities of the former army transport unit "Chugoku Military District Supply Corps," some items are on display: the paved walkway of the remains of the stables (Exhibit A), the asphalt of the remains of the stables (Exhibit B1), and the horse tether (Exhibit B2) (also on display in the Hirotaka Forest plaza area). These were used as flooring for watering fountains and horse tethers for military horses, and they give an idea of what Hiroshima was like at the time, when army facilities were located within Hiroshima Castle from the Meiji period onwards and military horses played a central role.
