Kamijo-cho, Fuchu City, is a town located in the central-eastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. During the Edo period, the area was a territory of the shogunate, and the white-walled buildings that retain the atmosphere of that time are still deeply rooted in the lives of the people of Jogemachi.
Jogemachi Art Tourism offers a variety of Japanese cultural experiences, including trying on an antique kimono, workshops using "mounting cloth" and "tatami borders" that are associated with Jogemachi, viewing historical crafts at the Mano Museum, and enjoying a Japanese lunch made with local ingredients.
