Experience making the hugely popular "Hassaku Daifuku" in Innoshima, the birthplace of Hassaku oranges
[Highlights]
Hassaku Daifuku, frequently featured in the media, has become one of Hiroshima's most iconic sweets. Enjoy the sweet and sour flavor and unique texture of this chewy daifuku, filled with a generous amount of hassaku persimmon. You'll also hear a lecture by a local farmer about hassaku cultivation. Through this firsthand account, you'll gain a deeper understanding of local agricultural products.
[Itinerary]
Meet at the Murojin Community Center in Nakasho Town, Innoshima
(Get off at the nearest bus stop and walk for approximately 5 minutes.)
Lecture (approximately 15-20 minutes) - Daifuku Making Experience (approximately 45-60 minutes)

1. Introduction to Innoshima, the birthplace of hassaku persimmons
2. Lecture by a local farmer about hassaku cultivation

4. Peeling a hassaku persimmon.
You will use a locally used citrus peeler called "Mukki-chan."
5. Wrap the peeled hassaku oranges in red bean paste.
6. Wrap the bean paste ball in a daifuku mochi.
7. Enjoy your freshly made "Hassaku Daifuku"!
■Disposable gloves and masks will be provided during the experience. Please bring your own apron if necessary.
■Tea and other beverages will be provided during the tasting experience.
■A souvenir of "Hassaku Daifuku (4 pieces)" to take home will be included.
