The "eternally unfinished" facility, a renovated former school dormitory in Onomichi, is a cultural hub themed around food, art, and film.

Nagae CUBE, located in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a cultural hub focused on food, art, and film. Located halfway up Mount Senkoji, where the ropeway passes overhead, the former Nagae Dormitory of the Onomichi Maritime Technical College has been gradually renovated. Based on the concept of "eternally incomplete," the facility preserves and preserves Onomichi's culture and history while breathing new life into it and connecting it to future generations. Through repeated renovations and various events, the facility offers a constantly evolving experience, allowing visitors to experience a different side of the place each time.

As of 2025, the facility operates as "gallery ca:temporary" (a gallery and shop with an eat-in area), "33 Kotodo" (an exhibition space and studio) in the dormitory building, each with 33 rooms (1 x 3 tatami mat room), and "classroom" (an event space) in the former classroom building.

The site also features a "Cat Alley" project, where cat-related food, miscellaneous goods, and art are exhibited and sold, and cat-themed workshops and events are held. Seven cats live on the premises. (However, this is not a cat cafe facility that guarantees that you will be able to interact with cats.)
This is an old yet new place that aims to be a place full of travel discoveries and cultural stimulation, and a comfortable place for interaction between cats, people, and other animals. If you're in Onomichi, be sure to stop by while taking a break from your walk around Mount Senkoji.
