Yamanokyo's famous spots

Located within Yamanokyo Prefectural Natural Park, the name is said to have been derived from the image of a dragon rising to the heavens and spitting a ball onto the ground. The sound of the water plummeting from a height of approximately 60m into the basin echoes through the trees and rocks in the silence of the valley. It is a spectacular sight among the many famous spots in Yamanokyo.
*The stairs leading to Ryuzu Falls from Prefectural Route 418 are currently closed as there is no prospect of repairing the handrails.
*The promenade leading to Ryuzu Falls from Prefectural Route 104 (Sakasegawa Yoshii Line) is currently closed due to falling rocks and trees.
