Washinya Sushi x Izakaya Experience Program: 400 Years of History Told as One Story

An entertainment experience that lets you savor Japanese izakaya culture with all five senses.

[Highlights] A fully private, inbound-friendly program that allows you to experience Hiroshima's history and Japanese food culture with all your senses through sushi making and izakaya (Japanese pub) culture.

[Itinerary]
1. Standard Plan
Step ① (Welcome Orientation) 15 minutes
Enjoy the izakaya atmosphere and experience the unique Japanese "Kanpai" (cheers) culture. Choose your drinks and start the program with a toast.

Step ② (Learning the 400-Year Story of Izakaya Through Video) 25 minutes
Through video, trace the history of izakaya from its birth to the present day. Experience the history of Japan embodied in food and sake.

Step ③ (Learning Japanese Fish Culture Firsthand) 20 minutes
A chef will prepare a sea bream, one of the roots of izakaya, right before your eyes, conveying Japanese fish culture. The prepared sea bream will then be used for a sushi-making experience.

Using sea bream prepared right in front of you, you will learn to make sushi under the guidance of a chef. Experience sushi culture not just by watching, but by actually using your hands.

Step 5 (Savoring Representative Japanese Cuisine) 40 minutes

Sushi, gyunabe (beef hot pot), tempura. Enjoy a course meal featuring the Japanese cuisine you have seen, learned, and experienced so far.

Step 6 (Meet People and Take Home Memories) 20 minutes

Enjoy your meal while interacting with the staff and experiencing Japanese "omotenashi" (hospitality). The experience program concludes with a small gift.
