This peace tour takes you to Mitaki, a place away from Hiroshima city center, where you can experience the heart of Hiroshima while strolling through Mitaki-dera Temple surrounded by nature and stone Buddha statues.

[Overview]
The main setting for this tour is Mitaki-ji Temple, founded in 809 and beloved by locals. Mitaki-ji Temple has recently become increasingly popular among foreign tourists. The tour begins near the hypocenter of the atomic bombing. After learning about the realities of the bombing, we travel by local bus to Mitaki-ji Temple, located on the slopes of Mount Mitaki. Walking through the temple grounds surrounded by nature, you will encounter the pagoda, bell tower, wooden buildings that survived the bombing, and numerous stone Buddha statues. Through fascinating stories and experiences that appeal to all five senses, you will touch upon the strength of Hiroshima, which has risen from its grief and continues to live in the present, and the essence of quiet prayer.

We are currently seeking partner businesses to include this tour as an activity in their product lineup or accommodation packages.

[Highlights]
The hilltop reached by climbing the stone steps is a place to reflect on Hiroshima's history. While gazing at the cityscape below, you can feel the lives of people living in the present beyond history and deepen your thoughts on peace. This offers a precious moment for self-reflection.
