Giant tree estimated to be 250 years old
With a height of 12m and a trunk circumference of 2.31m at chest height, it is a huge tree that is hard to believe is a fruit tree, and even now in autumn it bears many persimmons. It is said that the tree was planted in Aki Province during the Kyoho era to squeeze persimmon tannins, so it is estimated to be 250 years old. In autumn, persimmon trees laden with fruit are a particularly beautiful sight in the rural landscape.
