Mori's prayer place

Located at the foot of Koriyama, it existed as Gion Shrine even before the construction of Koriyama Castle. All of the building inscriptions from 1325 onwards remain, and there are also many shrine treasures. During the Sengoku period, it was worshipped devoutly by the Mori clan. The current shrine building was built in 1694, and the old cedar tree towering within the grounds is said to be over 1000 years old. The annual festival on May 5th is known as the "Yoshida Market Entry," and it is also famous as a place of prayer for victory for the J-League team Sanfrecce Hiroshima. The "three hamaya arrows," named after the three arrows of Mori Motonari, can only be purchased here. (Please contact us in advance if you would like to purchase one. 0826-42-0123)
