Hiroshima Bon Dance 2022
“Hiroshima Bon Dance” will be held in Ujina this year!
What is “Hiroshima Bon Dance”
The “War Damage Memorial Bon Odori Festival” was held on August 7, 1946, on the site of the current former Hiroshima Municipal Stadium under the auspices of the Chugoku Shimbun, on the site of the current former Hiroshima Municipal Stadium.
The memorial service for the war victims and the festival, which pledged reconstruction and peace after the war, was full of enthusiasm among the citizens of Hiroshima.
“Hiroshima Bon Dance” started as a new summer festival to pass on the thoughts, memories, and history of that time across generations and borders.
In addition, it is an international exchange event where you can experience the connection between Hiroshima and the world by reviewing the fun of the Bon Odori “Bon Dance,” which became a Japanese culture in Hawaii and the Americas, where many Hiroshima citizens immigrated.
