UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Mibu no Hanadaue" Bus Tour with Reserved Seats
In Hiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, the Mibu Hanadaue, one of Japan's most representative agricultural rituals, is held every year on the first Sunday of June.
The event will be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. For the first time, we have planned a bus tour with reserved seats, limited to the first 40 people.
Hanadaue is a sacred ritual to welcome the god of the rice fields and pray for a bountiful harvest that year, and the entire ceremony is as magnificent as an illustrated scroll.
Among them, "Mibu no Hanadaue" (Mibu Rice Planting Festival) has received high praise as a way to convey Japan's rice cultivation culture, and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011.
On this day, the entire town of Mibu becomes a festival, with street performances called "Michiyuki" leading up to the main event, and opportunities to eat and buy local specialties, making it a day of fun for people of all ages.
Enjoy the vibrant traditional culture while savoring local specialties.
