A serene archipelago in the daytime and a jewel-like night view at night! A spectacular panoramic view that symbolizes Kure

Mount Haigamine, a 737-meter-high peak towering directly in front of JR Kure Station, is an iconic, isolated mountain symbolizing the city of Kure. Its round, white radar dome at the summit serves as a landmark. From the observation deck, the view opens up dramatically, offering panoramic vistas of shipyards with their massive cranes, numerous ships passing by, and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
At night, the lights of residential areas and factories spread along the complex coastline, creating a scene like scattered jewels. The way these lights converge, seemingly forming the Japanese hiragana character "Kure," is one of the unique charms of this location. Its proximity to the city center allows for a close-up view of the city, sea, and mountains at night.
On clear days, the silhouettes of the mountains of Shikoku can be seen beyond the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. This scenic spot offers a dynamic experience of Kure's cityscape, day or night.
