The park is home to over 100 gravestones of prostitutes, young girls, and people associated with them dating back to 1730 (Kyoho 15) and the end of the Edo period, which were accidentally unearthed during construction to counter the steep slope. The park was developed in this scenic spot overlooking the sea thanks to the generosity of many people, including locals and people from outside the island. There is also the "Fire Wheel Tower," which was built by two large teahouses in Mitarai in 1767 (Horeki 7), and a legend related to a hairdresser has been passed down.
