At the top of the mountain, where you can enjoy the view and nature, you will find the ruins of a large gun battery from the Meiji era.
Okimi Town, which belongs to the Setonaikai National Park, is famous for its scenic beauty and is visited by many people. In particular, the view to the top of the mountain is wonderful, and about 90 kinds of flowers and trees grow around the forest road (5.7 km) and the promenade, and you can enjoy observing wild birds and bathing in the forest. In addition, the remains of a battery with a total area (198,000 square meters) built in the Meiji era are preserved on the mountaintop. In the neighborhood, you can also see the remains of the Tsuruhara battery and the remains of the Ganne nose battery.
