This is a Shingon Buddhist temple called Kankizan. According to the historical picture scroll handed down at the temple, it was founded during the Tenkei era (938-947) by Fujiwara Tomozane, who traveled to Aki Province to pursue and defeat Fujiwara no Sumitomo.
