Overlooking 115 islands in the Seto Inland Sea

Shinpozan is the highest peak on Osakikamijima. On a clear day, you can see the bridges of Shikoku Peak and Shimanami Kaido in the distance, and enjoy the beautiful panorama of the islands of Setouchi. Its beauty of Tajima has a reputation as the best in Setouchi, and the lines of the islands shine in the azure sea, and you can enjoy the spectacular views of each of the four seasons. Cute Jizo are scattered along the promenade to the summit, and Ishizuchi Shrine and Yakushido are enshrined at the summit, which is also popular as a mountain of worship. There are trails and cars to reach the summit.

About 25 minutes by car from the Sanyo Expressway Kochi IC toward Takehara, about 25 minutes by ferry from Takehara Port, and about 30 minutes by car from Tarumizu Port or Shiramizu Port. Alternatively, it takes about 10 minutes by bus from JR Takehara Station, about 20 minutes by high-speed boat from Takehara Port, and about 1 hour and 30 minutes on foot from Tenman Port.
