The temple predates the construction of Mihara Castle, which was sung in children's songs.In the precincts, there are monuments of celebrities such as Saneatsu Mushanokoji.
Mannenyama Shojuji was founded behind Honmachi Jojuji in 1365, before the construction of Mihara Castle, as it was sung in the children's song, "There are many temples in Mihara, but the oldest one is Shojuji." However, when the third generation of Asano Castle was Tadamasa, it was moved to the place where the Raikoji Temple was located in 1669 with the construction of Myoshoji Temple. In the precincts, there are songs by famous people such as Masamichi Nakayama, the former Minister of Health and Welfare, and Masamichi Takatsu, the former Vice-Chairman of the House of Representatives, as well as the songs written on the pillars of the pine trees crawling in the garden when Saneatsu Mushanokoji was staying at this temple.
