Nokyuzan Iwaya-ji Temple is a Rinzai sect temple. The mountain gate is designated as an important cultural property of the town, and was formerly the front gate of the Obata Daikansho, which was located in the Jinsekikogen Town Hall. It was moved to Iwaya-ji Temple in 1873. The Yakushido Hall on the temple grounds houses a seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai and his attendant twelve heavenly generals. The mountain gate was designated as an important cultural property of the town on May 1, 1976. Viewing is free, but reservations can be made in advance.
