It is a temple of the Rinzai sect called Nohsukeyama Iwaya-ji. The mountain gate is designated as an important cultural property of the town, and was once the front gate of the Kobatake Daikansho at the Jinseki Kogen Town Hall. It was relocated to Iwaya-ji Temple in 1873. In addition, the Yakushi Nyorai sitting statue and its genus Twelve Goddess are enshrined in the Yakushido in the precincts. Sanmon was designated as an important cultural property of the town on May 1, 1976.
